Let Your Child Explore the Artist in Them with Young Actors' Theatre Camp

Many children have an artist in them and are unaware of it. If you think your child also has this hidden talent, you should consider sending them to the Young Actors' Theatre Camp. It is a well-known camp that helps a child to explore the artist in them and be the best version of themselves. Keep scrolling to know more.

The Aim

The Young Actors' Theatre Camp was founded in 2001 by Shawn Ryan and John Ainsworth. This camp is unique and has helped countless children to attend top performing arts schools and work in TV, film, national tours, and even Broadway!

In the word of Shawn Ryan, "When we were bit by the performing bug in our first drama class, our parents didn't know where to turn to or who to call. How does one get a leg up in the professional world when they have no professional experience? YATC is part of the answer. We are your one-stop-shop for the ins and outs of showbiz, where your child can learn from working actors, singers, dancers, directors, choreographers, and professionals from all areas of the arts. "

The Team

The camp schedule is developed by a team of amazing instructors who believe in discovering and developing each student's talents in all the areas of the performing arts. The team's dedication and commitment have meant that the programs have won multiple awards.

The classes are taught by working actors, singers, directors, dancers casting directors, writers, designers, agents, managers, and producers who bring their professional experiences and inspirations directly to the classroom. There is nothing quite like learning 'how to sell a song' from Sutton Foster or learning the 'Safety Dance' from Glee's Heather Morris or learning 'how to write great lyrics' from Darren Criss while he serenades you.

All of the programs are designed with each camper in mind regardless of age or experience level. From intensive 1-day workshops to Overnight Camps, the team is sure that YATC will be the perfect match for your and your child's goals!

"Terrific for young artists! A definite recommend!" - Kelly Park

"Such a great friendly and caring staff! My daughter went for the first time to Session Awesome, and she loved it! - Stephanie Knapp

"Wonderful experience for my son!! ️” - Kristie Shannon Pearmund

"YATC is my favorite place in the world and I've met some of the closest and best most amazing friends in the world here. Everyone at YATC is so supportive and passionate and talented and kind-hearted and fun and I cannot say enough good things about it. When I attended my first session last summer I had high hopes and my expectations were fulfilled above and beyond. It was everything I hoped it was and more. YATC literally changed my life and made me so much more confident and just generally happier. Shawn always says that you'll come home from camp with 100 new best friends and it's so true. So many of my favorite memories were made here and the people I've met I know I'll stay close with for forever. YATC is absolutely magical and I cannot thank Shawn and John and Valerie and everyone for making this place real. Although it certainly doesn't feel like real life (it's much better). I've been to 3 sessions now and I keep coming back because it's that amazing. Love and sparkles and everything good to YATC. Lovelovelovelovelove." - Lillith Era
