What services does Chef Abod Cafe and Catering offer?

We are a restaurant and catering service that is offered in Halifax, Nova Scotia . 

How did you come up with the idea to start Chef Abod Cafe and Catering, and what purpose did you intend to serve with the concept?

I started cooking since 1980, and I have wanted to open my own restaurant ever since. There was no middle eastern restaurant in the city, at the time, so I wanted to open one to serve the people authentic middle eastern food.

Which milestones have marked meeting benchmarks towards the fulfillment of your personal goals/ the company's vision and goals?

We have won the Top Choice Award for our restaurant 4 times in a row, and that has been a milestone towards my personal and company goal.  

Which steps have you taken for the company to achieve the level of consumer trust that has been nationally recognized? 

We always ensure that our food reaches the customer in high quality and that the service is perfect.


What part of your education or other experiences do you feel was the most helpful in preparing you for success? 

From a young age, I was drawn to the art of cooking. I began my culinary journey by experimenting in the kitchen and learning from family members. As my passion for cooking grew, I decided to pursue formal training at culinary school. There, I honed my skills and expanded my knowledge of different cuisines through various courses. Today, I continue to explore my love for cooking by trying new recipes and techniques in the kitchen. 

Which strategies have you found the most effective in growing your audience/ bringing awareness of your service to a larger consumer group? 

Through my experience, I have discovered that leveraging social media platforms, participating in various industry events, and building a strong network of contacts have proven to be incredibly successful in growing my business and gaining exposure to a broader audience.

How do you balance work, passions/hobbies, and relationships?

Achieving balance in life can prove to be quite challenging, but it's a goal I constantly strive for. I make a conscious effort to dedicate adequate time and energy to each aspect of my life, ensuring that every aspect receives the attention and care it deserves. This approach allows me to lead a fulfilling and fulfilling life, where every area of my life is nurtured and thriving.  


What are your future plans to build on your personal/ company achievements and fulfill your vision for success/ what developments can your audience or clientele look forward to expecting next?

We are excited to inform you that we are preparing to unveil a brand new location that will feature an enhanced menu filled with delectable Middle Eastern cuisine. This exciting opportunity will provide our esteemed customers and clients with a chance to indulge in a variety of tantalizing flavours, sure to satisfy any palate. 


What advice would you like to give readers that hope to achieve success in your field?

Firstly, you have to be honest with your work and you have to work form your hearts.  Do not GIVE UP; you have to keep fighting to be successful. As long as you are confident and love your work, you will succeed.      

Is there anything else you would like to share with Winner Magazine readers?

I used to be a personal chef for the prince, Meshal Ibn Abd-Alaziz, of Saudi Arabia, and that gave me a lot of culinary experience.
