"You Only Get One Shot at This Life—Make It Count."
Chris Sarchet, Owner of Triple C Roofing, on Building with Purpose, Leading with Integrity, and Never Forgetting Where You Came From
According to the Federal Trade Commission, home repair services—particularly roofing—consistently rank among the most reported consumer issues nationwide. In regions like North Texas, where storms and seasonal damage are frequent, the need for reliable, trustworthy professionals is especially urgent. That’s exactly where Chris Sarchet, Owner of Triple C Roofing, has earned his place—not just as a contractor, but as a steady, values-driven presence in an industry that too often leaves homeowners uncertain.
Operating across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Chris leads a company that installs more than 400–500 roofs a year, almost entirely through client referrals. His approach is grounded in humility, transparency, and a genuine commitment to helping people protect what matters most—their homes.
From Hard Times to Higher Ground
Chris didn’t set out to be a business owner. In fact, when he first entered the roofing industry nearly a decade ago, it was because someone else saw something in him that he hadn’t yet seen in himself.
“I first got into the business almost 10 years ago from a good friend that I like to say saw potential in me that I wasn’t really seeing in myself at the time. I knew if I could find a niche that went with my personality, passion and always wanting to help people—that I could excel. This just happened to be the perfect opportunity.”
That opportunity would later be tested in fire. After working his way up and receiving multiple offers for management positions around Dallas-Fort Worth, Chris felt a calling to start something of his own. But fate didn’t make it easy. In the same week that his roommate moved out—leaving him to cover all expenses—he was involved in an accident that totaled his vehicle. Most would have taken this as a sign to step back. Chris saw it as a test.
“I actually Ubered to areas and knocked on doors all day setting appointments. Then Ubered back to the meetings, got the roofs approved, installed them, and then walked to the car dealership to get my new vehicle that was ready. I walked on purpose because I never wanted to feel like I was better than anybody and wanted to remember where I came from. In a way, it was a spiritual tug on me to keep my humility intact.”
This story, remarkable as it is, became the very essence of his business: a commitment to humility, honesty, and helping people get back on their feet—literally and figuratively.
A Foundation Built on Values
Triple C Roofing has a simple but powerful mission: deliver honest, reliable, and high-quality roofing services while standing by every homeowner through the often-complex insurance process. For Chris, this isn’t just about business—it’s personal.
“The values I’ve always kept are being straight up with every homeowner I come in contact with. Be honest with them and let them feel the passion that I bring every day into truly caring to help them get their property back restored to its original standing. I work strictly off referrals now and have for four years.”
That referral-based success is no accident. It’s the byproduct of an unwavering dedication to doing right by people, even when it’s hard.
“We have always wanted to give 110% to every homeowner and on every claim. I say 110 because it truly takes that extra percentage of consistency each day to be successful in this industry… Right is right and wrong is wrong. If insurance companies aren’t treating the homeowners fairly and we can provide proof, we will go all the way on every claim.”
Trust Earned, Not Bought
What sets Chris apart isn’t just how he does the job—it’s how he connects with people. While many companies invest heavily in advertising, Chris’s business has been built almost entirely on personal reputation and word-of-mouth.
“In my humble opinion, based on what homeowners communicate to me - it’s my blunt honesty. I look them in their eye, I tell them the honest truth, and I don’t sugar-coat anything. By showing homeowners you truly care about them… they respect that. And in return, they refer you to all of their friends and family.”
In addition to trust, Chris also emphasizes education. Every roof Triple C installs is documented and shared online—before, during, and after - so that homeowners can see the process and understand what to expect. He even created a custom checklist to help homeowners navigate insurance claims more easily.
“We post every install the day of on our Facebook page. It provides homeowners with seeing what their homes looked like before, during and after the install. I also created a checklist which is a step-by-step guide to make it easier in filing the claim if needed. I did this because it’s a lot of information at one time. By being able to revert back to something is helpful in their time of need. In return brings more awareness that once again we truly do care in making it simple and easy. Other than that we really haven’t posted on any marketing. It’s truly been word of mouth in such a short amount of time and for that I’m grateful.”
Influences That Paved the Way
Chris credits much of his work ethic to his early years—balancing school, low-income jobs, and being surrounded by positive role models.
“I worked at TCC where I could get up to nine hours of paid classes. It was hard juggling both and living on very little, but I earned an Associate’s Degree fully paid for. It showed me that if I believe in myself, I can do anything.”
He also recalls small but powerful moments from his childhood—like seeing his father give his coat to a stranger and his mother reminding him to always do the right thing by people. These early lessons have carried into his business today, shaping his commitment to honesty and community.
Meaningful Partnerships and Paying It Forward
Behind every strong business is a community. Chris highlights a few key figures who helped him along the way—including one of his very first customers, who became a mentor and referral partner, and Lowe’s, his materials supplier, which has provided consistent and top-tier service.
“It takes a team to win—and I feel as if I have the best surrounding me.”
And now that his company is thriving, Chris has made it a priority to give back.
“A man from my old church asked if I could donate a roof to a woman on hard times—I knew her, she’s friends with my mother. So I didn’t hesitate. We also helped a single mother by paying her rent for two months and getting her vehicle fixed. I’m very big on paying it forward. I remember what it feels like to struggle. One act of kindness can change someone’s whole perspective.”
Staying True While Scaling Up
Triple C Roofing is expanding into larger commercial projects—nursing homes, fitness centers, new construction—but Chris is adamant that they will never forget their roots in residential service.
“A lot of companies forget about residential and only want the big fish—not us. So the more the merrier.”
Overcoming the Hardest Moments
Running a business, Chris notes, hasn't always been smooth. Building something meaningful has meant facing hard truths about people, money, and motivation.
“Going through those times was very trying, but I have a great girlfriend by my side for support. Without her always letting me vent and picking me up, I believe at times I was on the verge of giving up. But here we are—and I’m really glad I didn’t.”
Advice from the Heart
What does Chris tell others hoping to succeed in the roofing industry—or any business?
“Always be consistent. Show in whatever field you’re in how much you truly want it—not just by words but by actions. Anyone can say they want to be successful. But your actions and work ethic will show the real results.
You have to wake up each day being thankful, accomplish the most for that day, and start over again with the same goal. In this industry, it’s always about the homeowner—not about you or the insurance. Listen, hear their concerns, and show with your actions that you’re the best for the job.”
And to readers, clients past and future, and anyone chasing a dream, he offers this final reflection:
“I’m just a guy from humble beginnings who wanted more for himself and his family. Sometimes the only one who believes in you is you. Make today better than yesterday. Life is short—make the most of it. And to any past or current customers, I truly appreciate you giving me a chance.”
